This slows down the movement of intestinal contents and improves the reabsorption of water and salts from the intestines, thereby reducing diarrhea and preventing dehydration. Loperamide-Grindeks is used for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.
