Fercelan is used to treat iron deficiency with proven folic acid deficiency, especially one month before the planned date of pregnancy and until the 3rd month of pregnancy. Fercelan contains the active substances iron fumarate, folic acid and ascorbic acid. Iron fumarate is a form of iron and folic acid is a B vitamin. Both iron and folic acid are needed to make red blood cells (erythrocytes). If you do not get enough iron and folic acid, you may develop anemia (reduced number of red blood cells). Fercelan is used to treat iron deficiency with proven folic acid deficiency, especially one month before the planned date of pregnancy and until the 3rd month of pregnancy.

Do not use Fercelan if:

if you are allergic to iron fumarate, folic acid or ascorbic acid, any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
if you have too much iron in your body (haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis);
if you have an iron metabolism disorder
if you have anemia that is not caused by iron or folic acid deficiency;
if you have gastrointestinal problems.
