The active substance in Canesten vaginal soft capsules is clotrimazole, which belongs to the group of imidazole derivatives. It has a wide range of antifungal activity, it kills fungi and inhibits their growth. It is also active against microorganisms such as dermatophytes, yeast and mold.

Canesten vaginal soft capsules are used to treat vaginal and female genital infections caused by microorganisms that are sensitive to clotrimazole. The infection is usually caused by a yeast fungus against the Candida group. Symptoms include itching, burning sensation and vaginal discharge.

This medicine is for use in adults and adolescents from 16 years of age. If you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days, you should consult your doctor.
